About

Social Capital Partners (SCP) is a non-profit organization that develops new models to alleviate Canada’s employment challenges. They work with those who have employment barriers from disabilities, new Canadians, and others. Through partnerships with larger organizations, they create new models that help develop sustainable employment and business growth.

Brand-on-a-Page

To help Social Capital Partners identify themselves research and market studies was conducted by Josh Greenhut to construct a solid Brand-on-a-Page. This would go on to help inform the mission and values – capturing the spirit of the organization.

Brand Landscape

Several brand landscapes were devised to help understand how the mark would live with others.

Identity

With the statement and landscape, a mark was created. The identity represented SCP's vision of being a catalyst for change – symbolized by a graphic depiction of a petri dish

Approach

With the new identity came the development of a digital platform where SCP could share their story and mission to the masses. With research and careful studies of two user segments, personas were generated to help in visualizing the direction and architecture of the website.

With the personas we began devising user journeys to understand what was important and what kind of information potential clients were seeking. Sitemaps would help provide stakeholders with a visual of hierarchy and clear taxonomy. User flows help the stakeholders identify key story telling moments.

Wireframing

Wireframes helped stakeholders identify how content was being presented as well as demonstrate the visual storytelling of the site. But because of the stakeholders lack of comfort with the backend the functionality of the site had to include simple updates for new case studies.

PROTOTYPING

There were tests involved to understand if content was being presented with clarity. We needed users to have the ability to comprehend what SCP's organization was offering.

UI elements were used to heighten the experience and to inform where words became too extensive.

With insight into user engagement and studies, the new identity and digital platform has allowed SCP obtain the notoriety that is much deserved. They have now gone on to construct long-standing relationships with partners to help those with employment challenges. I was very proud and honoured to have the chance to participate with those looking to change people's lives for the better.
